Explanation

This diagnostic message is written to the SMTP output data set specified in the OUTPUT statement in SEZAINST(SMTPPROC). This message is generated whenever the TCPDATA file has RESOLVER traces active.

date is the current date.

time is the current time.

siteptr is the pointer to the current site for the mail.

dataset_name is the file name pointed to by File_Queue. This data set contains a single piece of mail.

next_siteptr is the pointer to the next site for the mail.

System action

SMTP continues.

Operator response

No action is needed.

System programmer response

You can use the dataset_name and other messages generated in the trace to determine if the data set has been placed on the retry queue or is still on the active SMTP queue working with secondary IP address. Review the messages and their sequence to determine if you have a problem. If there is a problem, collect these traces and contact the IBM® Software Support Center.
