DeleteBadSpoolFile : state

Explanation

This message indicates whether the DELETEBADSPOOLFILE statement has been coded.

state displays the value of Yes or No.

If state is No, then the DELETEBADSPOOLFILE statement in the hlq.SMTP.CONFIG file has not been coded. This means that SMTP stops when it tries to access a spool file that would cause an ABENDS001. Message EZA5469E is generated before SMTP stops. Manually delete the spool file or reroute it to another destination before restarting SMTP.

If state is Yes, then the DELETEBADSPOOLFILE statement in the hlq.SMTP.CONFIG file has been coded. This statement permits SMTP to delete a spool file that would cause an ABENDS001 if SMTP were to access it. Message EZA5470E is generated if any deletions occur when SMTP is active.

See the z/OS Communications Server: IP Configuration Reference for more information about the DELETEBADSPOOLFILE configuration statement.
