REPLACE option not allowed for UNIXFILETYPE=FIFO ExplanationYou entered a get or mget subcommand, specifying the REPLACE option and a z/OS® UNIX local file when UNIXFILETYPE= FIFO was configured. The REPLACE option is not valid for z/OS UNIX files when UNIXFILETYPE=FIFO is configured. If the local file is a z/OS UNIX named pipe, you cannot overwrite the contents of the named pipe. Writing into a named pipe always appends to the contents of the named pipe. System actionFTP stops processing the current subcommand and prompts you to enter another subcommand. Operator responseNot applicable. System programmer responseNone. User responseIf the local file is a z/OS UNIX regular file, issue the LOCSIte subcommand with the UNIXFILETYPE=FILE parameter. Then issue the original subcommand again. If the local file is a z/OS UNIX named pipe, issue the subcommand without the REPLACE parameter. The incoming data will be appended to the contents of the named pipe. Problem determinationTo determine whether a z/OS UNIX file is a regular file or a named pipe, use the z/OS UNIX ls command. See the information about the long output format in z/OS UNIX System Services Command Reference.
