Jump function

z/OS ISPF User's Guide Vol I
SC19-3627-00

If you are not in split-screen mode (see Splitting the screen horizontally or vertically), and the primary options panel has been coded to select the EXIT command for the X selection, then you can use the jump function. Enter =X.
  • From any panel, this immediately leaves the current Primary Options menu.
  • If there is only one ISPF logical session, this exits ISPF.
ISPF recognises =XALL as an extended version of =X. This propagates an =X to all active logical screens. This terminates all logical sessions and exits ISPF.
Note: In the situation where a logical screen is running an application that does not support the =X command, ISPF halts termination processing at that logical screen. Once the application is terminated =XALL processing can be continued for any remaining logical screens.
