V — VSAM utilities

Use option V to create the IDCAMS commands to define, delete, and list catalog information for VSAM data sets. Before the command is issued, you will be allowed to edit it in an ISPF Edit session. The command will process in the foreground.

Note: The VSAM utilities function builds a command that is syntactically correct; the utility does not do any compatibility checking of the fields used to build the command.

When you select option V, the panel shown in Figure 1 is displayed.
