DDNAME parameters z/OS ISPF Software Configuration and Library Manager Guide and Reference SC19-3625-00 |
|
SCLM services send output to data sets associated with the ddnames you provide in the parameters passed to the service. You should allocate ddnames with the attributes specified in the parameter descriptions. If you use different attributes to allocate the ddnames, SCLM accesses the data set using the attributes specified, but the format of the resulting file might not be usable. As part of the processing for several of its services, SCLM updates partitioned data sets. For instance, the BUILD service copies compiler-produced object modules into an SCLM-controlled object partitioned data set. To eliminate the risk of corrupting a partitioned data set, allocate the data set with DISP=OLD. |
