Translation table for valid data set name characters

z/OS ISPF Planning and Customizing

The translation table for valid data set name characters (Table 1) specifies which characters are allowed in a data set name, as follows:
  • Valid characters are represented with X'00'
  • Invalid characters are represented with X'FF'.
