New information about component-specific problem determination, Diagnosing component-specific problems, was missing from the online version of this information. This is now corrected thanks to a thoughtful reader!

Summary of changes for z/OS V2R1 Problem Management

• See Diagnosing component-specific problems for new information about component-specific problem determination.
• The default value for trackedmin is changed to three in the following Predictive Failure Analysis (PFA) checks:
  • PFA_ENQUEUE_REQUEST_RATE
  • PFA_MESSAGE_ARRIVAL_RATE
  • PFA_SMF_ARRIVAL_RATE
• For PFA, changes to the Java™ settings.
• For PFA, clarified when to use the migrate and new parameters for AIRSHREP.sh.
• Deleted: PFA_FRAMES_AND_SLOTS_USAGE
