z/OS Language Environment Programming Guide for 64-bit Virtual Addressing Mode

Input to the bind process can be:
  • One or more object modules
  • Control statements for the bind process
  • Previously bound AMODE 64 executable programs you want to combine into a single AMODE 64 executable module
  • A DLL side-deck if your application implicitly references DLL functions or data

Figure 1 shows the basic batch bind process for your application.

The primary input is sent to the Binder and then to the executable program (SYSLMOD, the load module library).
