after the TRANSMIT condition was detected.
Explanation
A character other than 0 or 1 appeared in one
of the following:
- A bit constant in a list-directed or data-directed input item
- A character constant being converted to bit form in a list-directed
or data-directed input item
- An A-format input field being converted to bit form
- A B-format input field (excluding any leading or trailing blanks)
A transmission error also occurred and may have caused
the conversion error. The ONCODE associated with this message is 617.
System action
The ERROR condition is raised.
Programmer response
Correct the transmission error. If the
conversion error recurs after correcting the transmission error, refer
to the steps for message IBM0024.
