The Fortran component of Language Environment is shipped with individual routines and with groupings of routines called LIBPACKs. A LIBPACK is a load module that contains individual library routines packaged together by the linkage editor into a single load module in order to reduce the time that would otherwise be needed to load the individual routines. Usage notesThe Fortran LIBPACKs are generally shared among several different applications and cannot be tuned for a specific application. Therefore, ideal Fortran LIBPACKs contain only library routines that are common to all application programs. |
