CEESxGMA—Gamma function

z/OS Language Environment Programming Reference
SA38-0683-00

CEESxGMA performs the mathematical gamma function by using the equation:
Equation for mathematical gamma function
The following routines are provided for the various data types supported:
CEESSGMA
32-bit single floating-point number
CEESDGMA
64-bit double floating-point number

Syntax

>>-CEESxGMA--(--parm1--,--fc--,--result--)---------------------><

parm1 (input)
The input to the gamma function. The input range is:
Input to the gamma function
fc (output)
A 12-byte feedback code, optional in some languages, that indicates the result of this service. If you choose to omit this parameter, refer to Invoking callable services for the appropriate syntax to indicate that the feedback code was omitted.

The following symbolic conditions can result from this service:

Code Severity Message number Message text
CEE000 0 The service completed successfully.
CEE1UL 2 2005 The value of the parameter was outside the valid range range in math routine routine-name.
result (output)
The result of the gamma function. The output range varies, depending on the type of routine:
For Output range
Single-precision routines:
Output range for single-precision routines
Double-precision routines:
Output range for double-precision routines
