The HEAPPOOLS and HEAPPOOLS64 runtime options for C/C++ applications only controls usage of the heap pools storage algorithm at the enclave level. The heap pools algorithm allows for the definition of one to twelve heap pools, each consisting of a number of storage cells of a specified length.
