Step 1: Prepare to install service

Before you start applying service:

Create a backup copy of the current HLASM Toolkit Feature. Save this copy of HLASM Toolkit Feature until you have completed installing the service and you are confident that the service runs correctly.
Research each service tape through the IBM Support Center for any errors and/or additional information. Note all errors on the tape that were reported by APARs and apply the applicable fixes.
