HLASM Toolkit Feature Installation and Customization Guide
GC26-8711-09

Before installing you need to understand the user ID and DASD storage requirements. They are shown in Table 1. Some important points to consider are:
  • The installation user ID and minidisks or SFS are defined in Step 2: Allocate resources for installing HLASM Toolkit Feature. Table 1 gives an estimate of the storage required to install HLASM Toolkit Feature.
  • P696234K is the default user ID and can be changed. If you choose to change the name you need to create a Product Parameter File (PPF) override to change the name. This can be done in Step 1, substep 6.
  • If you choose to install HLASM Toolkit Feature on a common user ID, the default minidisk addresses for HLASM Toolkit Feature might already be defined. If any of the default minidisks required by HLASM Toolkit Feature are already in use, create an override to change the minidisks for HLASM Toolkit Feature so they are unique.

P696234K 2A6 3390 1 180 Contains AUX files and software inventory files that represents your test service level of HLASM Toolkit Feature.
VMSYS:P696234K.HLASMTL.APPLYALT
P696234K 2A2 3390 1 180 Contains AUX files and software inventory files that represents the service level of HLASM Toolkit Feature that is currently in production.
VMSYS:P696234K.HLASMTL.APPLYPROD
P696234K 29E 3390 50 9000 Test build disk. This code is copied to a production disk, (for example, MAINT 19E ) so the production disk may also require this amount of free space.
VMSYS:P696234K.HLASMTL.TBUILD
P696234K 191 3390 5 900 P696234K 191 minidisk.
VMSYS:P696234K.
Note: Cylinder values defined in this table are based on 4K block size.

If you plan to use SFS directories, then calculate the number of 4K blocks required from Table 1.
