Invalid character c in file name xxxxxxxx

Explanation

A character that is not permitted was specified in the file name specified on the ASMAHL command.

System action

RC=40. Processing of the command terminates. The system remains in the same status as before the command was entered.

Programmer response

Check the format of the option with its correct parameters, and reissue the command with the correct parameter.
