The storage group processing priority of the volumes assigned to an SMS storage group may be specified within the storage group definition. The default value is 50. DFSMShsm will process all of the SMS volumes in the order of the processing priority, with 100 being the highest and 1 being the lowest. This processing priority can help ensure that storage groups that need to be processed first during automatic backup are done so in order.
