The way to access data after a BDAM data set is recovered is an important consideration when recovering a data set to a volume with a different track length than the level 0 volume from which it was backed up. Using the DAOPTION parameter of the RECOVER command allows you to specify how the recovered data set is to be accessed (relative track or relative block). For instance, using the RELBLK option of DAOPTION allows a data set to be recovered to a device type with a smaller track size than the original level 0 volume. In this case, the data is moved to "fill out the track" rather than a "track to track" image as is the case for the RELTRK and SAMETRK options.
