The DELETE command deletes a migrated data set without recalling the data set. When you specify the DELETE command, DFSMShsm deletes the MCDS data set record and the migrated data set. DFSMShsm does not delete backup versions of the data set. If you want to delete the backup versions of a deleted data set, you must use the BDELETE command.
