Explanation: REPLACE is an optional parameter, but required for recovering cataloged data sets. If the data set is uncataloged, but exists on a volume, you must specify both the REPLACE and FROMCOPYPOOL parameters in order to recover the data set.
If you specify the NEWNAME(newdsname) parameter and the new name is the same as the name of an existing data set, you must specify the REPLACE parameter. If REPLACE is not specified, DFSMShsm fails the FRRECOV DSNAME command.
