End of volume during the stacking process

If you try to maximize the number of aggregate backup versions you can stack onto a single tape, you might reach the end of volume (EOV). If EOV occurs before all of the ABACKUP files associated with the specific version are copied, DFSMShsm issues the error message IEC151I:

IEC151I A13-rc,mod,jjj,sss, ddname .-#.,dev,ser,dsname

For example, if the sample COPYAGGR JCL, described in Stacking multiple aggregates on one tape fails during the copy of the O file, in JCL STEP2, DDNAME SYSUT2, using output device address 0B31, writing to volser A00040, writing the data set AGM1.O.C01V00020, DFSMShsm issues, this message:

IEC151I A13-18,IFG0195B,COPYAGGR,STEP2,SYSUT2,0B31,A00040,AGM1.O.C01V0002

If an EOV error occurs during an aggregate copy (stacking), you must follow the procedure described in the Cleanup after stacking errors to recover that aggregate.
