Administering IBM TRIRIGA Application Platform
You can use the IBM® TRIRIGA® Application Platform administrator tools to specify IBM TRIRIGA application-wide settings, graphic styles, language data, password options, and other administrative settings.
- Administering with the Administrator Console
Analyzing and optimizing the health of the system are primary functions for a system administrator. IBM TRIRIGA developed the Administrator Console to facilitate these tasks. The IBM TRIRIGA Administrator Console categorizes data into segments to help a system administrator find information and make changes to it quickly and effectively. The Administrator Console is a centralized location for viewing and editing system settings to optimize system health. - Globalizing applications
The business environment today is increasingly interconnected. Your customers and employees might come from multiple countries and regions, and might speak multiple languages. You can use the IBM TRIRIGA Application Platform to display text and data in other languages. You can also customize data, labels, units of measure, dates, and currency for multicultural environments. - Managing graphics
You use the IBM TRIRIGA Application Platform graphics functions to manipulate the display of computer-aided design (CAD) drawings in the IBM TRIRIGA applications. You can create label styles, label filters, graphic themes, and graphic reports for how your users can view the drawings. As a user, you can apply these styles, filters, themes, and reports to the drawings in the Graphics section. - Authenticating users by using single sign-on
To gain access to IBM TRIRIGA applications, a user must be authenticated as a valid user of the system and must be granted permission to access applications and functions in the IBM TRIRIGA suite of applications. Many customers use single sign-on (SSO) authentication to manage access by their users to multiple applications in their environment. - Configuring the user experience
If you have administrator privileges, you can use the IBM TRIRIGA tools to create a customized IBM TRIRIGA environment. Customization can include sign-in pages, portals and portal sections, navigation, and visual elements, such as colors and banners. - Enabling virus scan for files that are uploaded to IBM TRIRIGA
In the TRIRIGAWEB.properties file, you can enable virus scanning on files as they are uploaded to the IBM TRIRIGA system. This feature is disabled by default. - Tracking changes to objects
You can identify and track the changes that you make to objects in the IBM TRIRIGA applications. - Migrating objects
When you develop or customize an application, you can migrate the objects such as business objects, forms, and workflows that represent your work to other IBM TRIRIGA Application Platform environments where they will be used. - Reporting in IBM TRIRIGA
You use IBM TRIRIGA to create tabular reports and graphs that are used to show reports, portal components, or navigation items. - IBM TRIRIGA Application Platform 3 Securing Passwords in tririga-ds.xml
