DISMOUNT VOLUME (Dismount a volume by volume name)

Use this command to dismount an idle volume by volume name. If a drive cannot dismount the volume, manual intervention is required.

Privilege class

To issue this command, you must have system privilege or operator privilege.

Syntax

Parameters

volume_name (Required)
Specifies the name of the volume to dismount.

Example: Dismount a specific volume

Dismount the volume BTV005.
dismount volume btv005
