IP interconnectivity (IPIC) learning path
This learning path, intended for CICS system programmers, provides
an overview of IP interconnectivity (IPIC), a type of connection that allows
programs to connect to CICS regions in different MVS images and sysplexes
using the industry standard communications protocol, TCP/IP. It explains how
to create an IPIC connection between two CICS regions using CICS or CICSPlex
SM resources, how to migrate existing connections to IPIC, and provides a
summary with links to further reading.
Event processing tutorials
The event processing tutorials provide you
with step-by-step instructions to implement some simple event processing
examples.
Atom feed tutorials
The Atom feed tutorials provide you with step-by-step instructions
to implement some simple Atom feeds and collections from unstructured
and structured data. The tutorials include creating feeds from temporary
storage queues and VSAM files to display in a web browser.
Managing and monitoring your CICS workload
This learning path provides an overview of the CICS® and z/OS® components,
and some separate tools, which you can use for workload management
and performance monitoring of your CICS regions.
The primary audience for the learning path is CICS system
administrators, and anyone who is involved with managing or assessing
the performance of a CICS system.
Threadsafe learning path
This learning path provides an overview of open transaction
environment (OTE) threadsafe options. Using the OTE you can obtain
throughput improvements on multiprocessors, providing that the application
code is threadsafe. The options available to get different types of
threadsafe applications to use the OTE are explained and a summary
is provided with links to further reading.
