Planning
Before installing Connections Docs, review the system requirements and deployment options, and then complete the worksheets.
- Prerequisites
Before installing Connections Docs , you must have prior experience with products that support enterprise web applications. - Connections Docs system requirements
Ensure that your systems support the Connections Docs system requirements needed for successful deployment within the IBM® Connections environment. - Connections Docs shared storage overview and requirements
Connections Docs shared storage is used by each of the Connections Docs components to store drafts or transfer files between servers. This shared storage can be hosted from an external storage device or one of the existing servers in your IBM Connections and Connections Docs deployment. - Deployment options
Typically Connections Docs is deployed in one of two deployment topologies. Simple deployments are used in a proof-of-concept environment to get up and running quickly, whereas medium-to-large deployments are used in test and production environments to achieve optimum scaling, load balancing, and failover. - Connections Docs infrastructure
In addition to the six Connections Docs components described in the Product Overview section, the Connections Docs server infrastructure must also contain a database server (DB2® or Oracle). In addition, an IBM Connections infrastructure and an LDAP server must be installed and configured. - Server information worksheets
These worksheets provide the relevant information needed to successfully deploy Connections Docs.
