Managing moves

After your spaces, functional roles, and other move settings are set up, you can manage your moves through move requests, move planning, and strategic facility planning. You can find the move management tools under Space > Plan Moves and Space > Manage Moves.

In the IBM TRIRIGA application, the management of moves includes managing move service requests, planning scheduled moves, and planning strategic moves.
Managing move requests
Many organizations manage their move requests by planning move projects on a regular schedule. But sometimes a move request must be managed on an individual basis. One example is a move request that results from a defect that is discovered in the workspace.
Planning scheduled moves
Many organizations manage their move requests by planning move projects on a regular schedule. One example is a move project that assembles several move requests during the last month.
Planning strategic moves

But sometimes a move project is initiated, not at the facility level, but at the strategic portfolio level. Requesting design changes
During the space planning or move planning process, changes might occur to the design of a space, set of spaces, or floor plan. As a move planner, you can submit a request to modify a computer-aided design (CAD) drawing. The interior designer or CAD designer receives the request, updates the design, and publishes the updated planning drawing.
