Unit price
The unit price supports the inbound batch creation and outbound valuation calculation. For inbound transaction types, this field is used for the creation of the inventory batch records.
The following table describes the rules for determining the unit price for inbound inventory transactions.
Transaction type | Rules |
---|---|
Receipts that are entered manually from inventory item record | Defaults to the unit price on the inventory item. |
Receipts from the receiving form | Actual cost from the receiving line item. |
Transfer In | Defaults to the unit price on the inventory item. |
Negative Adjustments | Reverses a previous positive adjustment. For example, you created a transaction to note that three items are lost. When the items are found, you create another lost transaction and enter -3 to reverse the original transaction. Defaults to the unit price on the inventory item. |
Positive Adjustments | Defaults to the unit price on the inventory item. |
