DB2 10.5 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows

DB2 High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR) and IBM® Tivoli System Automation for Multiplatforms (SA MP) samples (Windows)

These sample scripts allow you to setup SA MP as a cluster manager and enable automatic management for DB2® servers using HADR and SA MP on Windows operating systems.

The samples are located in the sqllib\samples\tsa directory.
Table 1. HADR and SA MP samples
Type of sample Sample file name File description
Clustered resources - Samples that create and remove clustered resources mkdb2 Creates a DB2 resource
mkhadr Creates an HADR database resource
rmdb2 Removes a DB2 or HADR database resource
DB2 resources - Sample scripts used by SA MP to manage the DB2 resources hadr_start.ksh Starts up the HADR database resource
hadr_monitor.ksh Monitors an HADR database resource and checks that it is peer state and alive.
hadr_stop.ksh Stops an HADR database resource
Utility files - Samples of data input files for initial configuration. db2.def Sample data input file for a DB2 instance resource
db2ip.def Sample data input file for a virtual IP resource
hadr.def Sample data input file for an HADR database resource

For implementation details of a DB2 automated failover solution using these scripts, see the "Automating DB2 HADR Failover on Windows using Tivoli® System Automation for Multiplatforms" white paper at http://public.dhe.ibm.com/software/data/sw-library/db2/papers/hadr_tsa_win.pdf.
