Installing the IBM® InfoSphere Streams Quick Start Edition

The Quick Start Edition is a trial version of InfoSphere® Streams, which enables you to learn the concepts and technologies of the product. You can download and install the Quick Start Edition for free.
The following installation options are available:
  • Install the Quick Start Edition VMware image on an Apple Mac OS X, Linux, or Microsoft Windows system. This option enables you to get started more quickly.
  • Install the Quick Start Edition on a Linux system that is supported by InfoSphere Streams.
  • Overview of the Quick Start Edition
    You can use the Quick Start Edition to experiment with the features of InfoSphere Streams by using real data and applications. The Quick Start Edition does not have data-limit restrictions or a time limit on its license. The license is a non-warranted program license and should not be used in production. Product support is not available for the Quick Start Edition.
  • Installing the Quick Start Edition VMware image
    After satisfying the system requirements for the Quick Start Edition VMware image, you can install, start, and use the image to explore the features of InfoSphere Streams. This option enables you to get started more quickly.
  • Installing the Quick Start Edition for Linux
    After satisfying the system requirements for InfoSphere Streams, you can install, configure, and use the Quick Start Edition for Linux to explore the features of the product.
