Loading data from InfoSphere Data Replication

You can use IBM® InfoSphere® Data Replication (11.3.3.3-36 or later) to load system of record data into IBM Db2® Warehouse on Cloud.

Define database connections in InfoSphere Data Replication

Before you can define a subscription in IBM InfoSphere Data Replication, you need to catalog the target Db2 database on the IBM InfoSphere Data Replication target instance server, use the InfoSphere Data Replication configure tool to set up source and target database instances, then, use the InfoSphere Data Replication management console to add source and target datastores. For detailed steps, see Connecting InfoSphere Data Replication to a Db2 database.

Define a subscription in InfoSphere Data Replication

After you register source and target datastores, use the Configuration panel of the InfoSphere Data Replication Management Console to create a new subscription.

For example:

  1. From the Configuration panel of the Management Console, select Subscription > New, specify your source and target datastores, then click OK:

  2. Select "Yes" if prompted to map tables for the subscription (otherwise, right-click on the subscription and select "Map Tables"):

  3. Select your mapping type. For example, choose "Multiple One-to-One Mappings":

  4. Pick your source tables:

  5. Because the target tables do not yet exist, choose Create new target tables:

  6. Specify the target tablespace and select a target schema:

  7. Name your target tables:

  8. Set the replication method:

  9. Review your selections and click Finish:

  10. Your subscription is created and is visible in the Subscriptions panel:

  11. Right-click on the subscription and select Start Mirroring:
