About the configuration depot

The configuration depot stores and distributes profile configurations. If needed, you can manually edit these files when you are not logged in to the Tivoli Enterprise Portal.

All profile configurations are stored as XML files on the Application Management Console, which acts as a central configuration repository. The files are simple (human readable) XML files that you can modify individually or by batch process for bulk creation or manipulation using any text editor.

The monitoring software automatically distributes (synchronizes) the changes to the profiles stored in the repository to the agents defined in the configuration.
