A High Speed Link (HSL) / RIO / 12X loop configuration event was detected. The loop may have an unsupported configuration
or a configuration that is not valid or the loop is in a state that LIC is logging for potential future reference.
Problem determination
LIC is reporting an event about the state of a RIO / HSL / 12X loop. Word 4 of
the SRC contains the program return code (PRC) which.
identifies the state or problem with the loop.
For Power5 and newer servers, if this event appears in a serviceable event view then a service action is required. This
SRC may also be logged as informational when it is recording information about the loop that is not a problem for the LPAR.
If this event does not appear in a serviceable event view then no service is required. To determine what the event meaning is
record the PRC in word 4 of the SRC then use symbolic FRU SIRGCFG. This completes the procedure.
If this event appears in a serviceable event view then search for a B7006983 serviceable event logged at about the same time.
Did you find a B7006983 serviceable event logged at about the same time in the LPAR?
YES - Service this error by working the B7006983 error.
NO - Continue working this SRC. If you are using the Service Action Log (SAL) the FRU
description may already indicate the configuration problem.
Otherwise record the PRC in word 4 of the SRC. Use
symbolic FRU SIRGCFG to determine the problem.
