Selecting console type
You can use the Advanced System Management Interface (ASMI) to select the console type.
You can select the console type as IPMI or Serial.
To
perform this operation, you must have one of the following authority
levels:
- Administrator
- Authorized service provider
To select the console type, complete the following steps:
- On the ASMI Welcome pane, specify your user ID and password, and click Log In.
- In the navigation area, expand System Configuration.
- Click Console Type.
- Select either IPMI or Serial.
- Click Save settings to save the current configuration.
