Error description
Batch Server log files, especially for Web Service, can grow over time to very large sizes even with default log4j.properties settings.
Local fix
You may stop the Application Discovery Web Service service if you are not currently using Application Delivery Intelligence to interface with Application Discovery.
Problem summary
An embedded log4j.properties file that enabled verbose logging was shipped in a Web Service jar file, causing the log4j.properties file accessible to the AD administrator to not take precedence.
Problem conclusion
The unintended, embedded copy of log4j.properties was removed. Two more properties which can be used to reduce the amount of space occupied by the AD log files (configured in the log4j.properties file): log4j.appender.file.MaxBackupIndex - the maximum number of log files kept log4j.appender.file.MaxFileSize - the maximum size of a log file
