Error description
IBM Developer for System z (IDz) : IDz 14.2 - z/OS EXPLORER 3.1 When using IDz with OS Linux Debian Buster hidden Linux files are shown in RemoteSystems view regardless what is setup in Preferences 'Remote Systems => Files => Show hidden files'. Hidden files in Linux are prefixed with a leading dot.
Local fix
Problem summary
For local files, the Remote Systems view isn't using the dot prefix to determine if a file is hidden or not.
Problem conclusion
The Remote Systems behaviour is actually technically correct, honouring the local file system hidden attribute, but it is inconsisten with files on remote systems which determine hidden files based on a dot prefix. The fix will honour both the hidden atttribute as well as the dot prefix.
Temporary fix
