  • Field Expansion report does not report the same number of
variables each time it's run.

Problem summary

  • IBM identified that the inconsistency comes from one stage in
our algorithm where the results from a database query were not
sorted.
The performance problem reported was happening when the customer
was running the Field Expansion report with high depth of 30 and
without any exclusion lists.

Problem conclusion

  • We had sessions with the customer presenting the intended use of
 the report, running it repeatedly with small report-depth
increments and with the use of the exclude list in the report
wizard, to help trim irrelevant paths of data in the report
output.
