Error description

  • IBM Developer for z Systems - IDz Client - v14.1.6

Description :
When using an external directory for Includes, the mouse hover
within the PLI Editor does not work correctly : it shows old
versions or doesn't show new Includes at all.
It seems to depend on how many Includes are stored in that
directory - it works fine with only a few Includes -
but with 94.000 Includes it is not working.
This behavior is observed with IDz Versions 14.1.4, 14.1.5 and
14.1.6

Problem summary


    

  • The PL/I Editor sometimes fails to update the contents of
changed include files that are outside the workspace when an
INCLUDE statement is hovered over.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Modified the IDz cache to listen for file system changes more
effectively, so that the PL/I Editor correctly updates the
contents of changed include files that are outside the workspace
 when an INCLUDE statement is hovered over.
