APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The "Find Member CTRL+F" function is not available upon initial
entry to IDz.  A member must be opened before the function
(shortcut) key is available and functional.

Problem summary


    

  • Sometimes when a user attempts to use CTRL+F to invoke the "Find
 Member" action in the Remote Systems view, the binding doesn't
work.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • There is a key binding mechanism that registers view context as
the Remote Systems view gets or loses focus.  The problem is
that when the initial view is the Remote Systems view, the
context for this view does not get set, unless the user switches
 views and then comes back.
