APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • IBM Developer for z systems 14.1.3 does not correctly move
a block of selected lines on the right pressing several time
on the Tab key when Custom tab stops is applied.
From the second line of the block, the lines are shifted
by 2 characters after each Tab.
Remark : Without Custom tab stops the block of lines is
correctly moved using the Tab key.

  • COBOL EDITOR DOES NOT CORRECTLY REACT USING TAB KEY WHEN CUSTOM
TAB STOPS IS APPLIED.
When a block of lines is shifted with a tab, formatting can be
modified by the custom tab stops that are defined.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The code was changed so that if multiple lines are selected and
shifted with a tab the custom tab stops will not be applied.
The lines in the block will be shifted the same amount.
