PH05179: THE SQL DATABASE NAME FROM EZ#ANNOTATION IS CAUSING THE USER DATABASE BACKUP TO FAIL DUE TO THE '#' SPECIAL SYMBOL.

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • User wants to change the SQL Database name from
EZ#Annotations to anything that does not contain '#'.
This is because the user's DBA is unable to perform the
database backup using their tool.
The issue is that they are backuping into another Server
instance and that does not work due the '#' special symbol.

Local fix

  • N/A

Problem summary

  • Fixed by offering the possibility to change the name of the
annotation database via Configuration Server.

Problem conclusion

  • The fix was included in version 5.1.
