Error description

  • When the customer creates a project and built the JCL job
CFFIDISP, with the ITS2BMP proc in the right folder, once the
symbolics were substituted the build client kept telling us that
ITS2BMP was missing. The name ITS2BMP gets resolved correctly
as the proc to be included since the build client is telling is
that is the name missing, but for some reason it does not find
it in the JCL Procs folder. I made a quick test and I manually
typed in ITS2BMP as the proc (instead of having it with
symbolics) and it did seem to find it that time. So apparently
    there is something
wrong with getting the right name when symbolics are used?

Problem summary

  • Problem description
    -------------------------------
When building job calling a PRoc using symbol it says that
PROC can not be found but that
PROC is in the folder and available

    CAUSE
    ------

The search for a procedure name used a value collected before
the interpretation of the symbols. As a result, when a procedure
name contained symbols in it's call, it was not recognized. The
fix consists in taking into account the procedure name after
the symbols are interpreted and searching for this correct one.

    Recommendation:-

    Upgrade to AD 5.1 release
