Error description
In IBM Developer for z Systems (IDz) v14.1, the Remote z/OS File search may fail when the data set name for the search filter contains wild characters (such as *, ?). Instead of displaying the result of the search, Remote z/OS File search will display the following: The following job has an error. See the joblog for more information. <joblog-name> where the joblog-name is the name of the Remote z/OS File search job.
Local fix
Use "Remote z/OS search" with the same dataset name filter.
Problem summary
IDz client generated invalid member selection directive in a search JCL for ISPF SearchFor Utility when the length of the selected member names were more than 72 characters.
Problem conclusion
IDz client was fixed to separate member selection directives when it could not be written in a line.
Temporary fix
