APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • in AD v5.0.4 against certain JCL syntax where a program is
called using several parameters that contain also a program
name amongst other parameters is not corectly read and
interpreted resulting in a crash when parameter line is split
in several lines.

Local fix

  • fixed bug in code and released a new JCL compiler for AD Build
client

Problem summary

  • SYNTAX ERROR: 'ERROR IN SAVING DATA TO REPOSITORY IN AD V5.0.4
FOR CERTAIN JCL SYNTAX

Problem conclusion

  • The defect was triggered by the use of special program WAAPLINK
with a PARM parameter. The whole value of PARM was interpreted
as called program name. The fix consists in consider as called
program the first word from PARM parameter.
The fix will be available in version 5.1.0.0
