APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After upgrade from AD 505 to AD 5051 using the all-in-one
installer,  the orientdb-server-config.xml is overwritten, the
users section information got wiped out, the root user of
graphDB  is deleted, so graphDB is not working any more.

Local fix

  • When upgrading from 5.0.5.0 to 5.0.5.1 , once the upgrading is
completed, the end user is still supposed to do a manual step
(which will be improved in future releases)  - *recreate the
same* GraphDatabase password for the root user, by launching
*server.bat* from <installation path> IBM Application Discovery
Batch Server\orientdb\orientdb-community-2.1.5_ezpatch1\bin\ .

*It is mandatory to do this before starting* the GraphDB
Service. (all the other configurations are kept so no need to
alter them)

Problem summary

  • After upgrade from AD 505 to AD 5051 using the all-in-one
installer, the orientdb-server-config.xml is overwritten, the
users section information got wiped out, the root user of
graphDB is deleted, so graphDB is not working any more.

Problem conclusion

  • The orientdb-server-config.xml file is no longer distributed
along with the rest of the orientdb files, but separate, with an
 override argument set to "false".

Temporary fix

  • When upgrading from 5.0.5.0 to 5.0.5.1 , once the upgrading is
