IJ17800: TACMD LOGIN IS FAILING AFTER THE APPLYING ITM 630 FP7 SP1.

APAR status

Error description

  • After having upgraded ITM 60 to SP1, discovered that TACMD LOGIN
    fails with the following:
    bash-4.3$ ./tacmd pdcollect -o nohist -d /sys_apps_01/tivoli_dep
    ot
    KUIC02018E: The pdcollectcli shared library file was not loaded.
    The command cannot complete without the specified library file.
    Confirm that the shared library exists and is readable.
    If it does not exist, you might need to install function on
    the computer or server in order to support the specified
    command.
    Contact IBM Software Support if the shared library file exists
    and is readable.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • TDS client used by ITM fails using TLS v1.2 with Microsoft
    Active Directory server.
    
    
    TDS client fails using TLS v1.2 with Microsoft Active Directory
    server. UserID authentication fails when trying to logon to
    monitoring server via tacmd CLI or via portal client. The
    monitoring server integrates with TDS client 6.3.0.27.  The
    issue is that TDS client connects with Microsoft Active
    Directory server using the protocol TLSV1.2.  When we set the
    parameter LDAP_OPT_SECURITY_PROTOCOL to change the protocol to
    TLS v1.0 or TLSv1.1 TDS client can connect with AD server
    successfully.  Monitoring Server 6.30 FP5 and FP6 use TDS
    client: 6.3.0.27 and GSKit 8.0.50.36.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Uplift to TDS Client 6.30.0.43.
