APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Try and install an ITM 6.x component on a system where the PATH
exceeds 2047. The installation will fail.

Local fix

  • Set a PATH smaller than 2047.

Problem summary

  • Refresh R2 for Windows Server 2008 rolled in a fix (KB2685893)
that was used to check for maximum path length.  Install would
not detect the increased maximum path length on this version.

Problem conclusion

  • The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
packages:
