APAR status

Error description

  • Workspace view is corrupted if the Advanced Filters option is
    enabled and the number of columns to display is modified.
    A test scenario to recreate the issue is as follows
    Env: 6.3 FP07 Linux Agent / 6.3 FP07 TEPS
    (1) Open the workspace "Processor Overview", right click and
    select "Properties" and make the following changes
    (2) Add the Advanced Filters option (check the tickbox and
    accept the default options)
    (3) Remove the last four columns from the display by unchecking
    them in the Filters tab
    (4) Hit "Apply" folloed by "OK"
    (5) Split the workspace in two vertically
    (6) In the original view on the left, add back in a column to
    be displayed, e.g. Timestamp
    (7) Hit "Apply" followed by "OK"
    (8) Save the workspace, select another workspace and then go
    back to the workspace you just created
    (9) Both views now show Left / Right Button and a grey screen
    

Local fix

  • Avoid using the Advanced Filter when customizing the workspace
    view
    

Problem summary

  • TEP workspace view is corrupted if the Advanced Filters option
    is enabled
    and the number of columns to display is modified.  The visible
    symptom of
    this problem is that the corrupted workspace view displays a
    grey background
    and the words "Left Button" or "Right Button".
    
    
    Internally, the TEP was constructing an invalid model of the
    workspace
    definition when the Advanced Filter Options properties were
    included.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A code fix was applied to the TEP to correctly handle the
    addition of the
    Advanced Filters properties to the underlying workspace
    definition model.
    
    
    The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
    packages:
