• CPFMTXA support will be provided for a more efficient means of
  erasing data on an ECKD minidisk.

  CPFMTXA support had been added which will provide a more
  efficient means of erasing data on an ECKD minidisk using
  a new ERASE operand.  A NOMSG operand for an implied FORMAT
  operation has also been added which will suppress the
  ICKDSF cylinder progress messages during formatting. Only the
  starting and ending cylinder will be displayed.
