Upgrading IBM RPA V10.0.x to IBM RPA V10.0 CF2018.03 interim fix 002

During the upgrade process, CF2018.03 interim fix 002 is installed on top of IBM RPA V10.0.x. To upgrade IBM RPA V10.0.x to V10.0 CF2018.03 interim fix 002, follow the instructions in Upgrading IBM Robotic Process Automation with Automation Anywhere. There are separate procedures for upgrading IBM RPA Control Room and the IBM RPA clients. Upgrade Control Room before you upgrade Bot Creator and Bot Runner clients.

Post-upgrade tasks

After you successfully upgrade your IBM RPA installation, some additional configuration steps might be required. Although most actions are optional, you might have to perform them to ensure IBM RPA continues working as expected.

The following APARs require additional configuration:

Interim fix (APAR) Description Tasks to enable the function
JR59475 YOU CAN'T CONTROL THE SCREEN RESOLUTION WHEN YOU RUN THE BOT RUNNER SESSION ON THE CONTROL ROOM
  1. Edit the Enterprise.Setting.xml file located in the Automation Anywhere Server Files directory in the public documents. The default absolute path is: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Automation Anywhere Server Files\Enterprise.Setting.xml.
  2. In the ConfigSettings element of the .xml file, add a RemoteMachineConnector section that looks like this:
    <RemoteMachineConnector>
  •     <Default>
           <Setting>
             <Height>1366</Height>
             <Width>768</Width>
             <Port>3389</Port>
           </Setting>
        </Default>
      </RemoteMachineConnector>

    • The Height and Width elements define the screen resolution that the control room uses for the remote desktop connection to the bot runner client. Use a valid combination for Height and Width. Those combinations are mentioned in the Display configuration of your operating system.

      Port 3389 is the default port of the Remote Desktop Protocol.
