Uninstatallation of IBM Rational Functional Tester version 18.104.22.168 along with ‘Rational-RFT-Java8SR4FP5-ifix’ patch generates warnings.
When you uninstall IBM Rational Functional Tester version 22.214.171.124 along with the patch labelled ‘Rational-RFT-Java8SR4FP5-ifix’, you might see warnings on the ‘Uninstall Packages’ page in Installation Manager. Also, on Windows, the uninstallation process does not remove IBM Rational Functional Tester from Control Panel > Programs and Features.
Ignore any warnings that you might see on the Uninstall Packages page of the Installation Manager.
To manually remove IBM Rational Functional Tester from Control Panel > Programs and Features on Windows, do the following steps:
Note: This procedure involves changes to the Microsoft Windows Registry. Incorrect values can lead to improper functioning of the Windows system or prevent it from starting. Exercise caution while changing any entries in the registry or contact your Windows administrator for assistance.
- To open the Microsoft Windows Registry, click Start > Run > Enter “regedit” and press Enter.
- Locate the following registry key (as shown in the screen shot below):HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\IBMIM_win.uninstall.registry_IBM Software Delivery Platform_com.ibm.rational.functional.tester
- Delete the key; to do so, right-click it and then and select Delete.
- Verify that ‘IBM Rational Functional Tester’ is removed from Control Panel > Programs and Features.
